The El Cubano Gordo Champion

After four months of intense weight loss work, Steve L. walked away with the first El Cubano Gordo title on Saturday night. Weighing in at 180.4 lbs, and looking a bit like Jack Lalaine from the Super Juicer infomercial, Steve lost 24.6 pounds or 12% of his body weight.

I must admit that the first few weeks of the contest sucked. Displaying your weight to the world, disclosing your love of chili cheese fries, and showing a photo where you resemble piglet are all humbling experiences. But a few months later - and 82 collective pounds thinner - I think it is fair to say we've learned something tried and true: eating better, exercising more and having the support of some burger chomping friends are the simple answers to losing weight. I want to also thank all of our loyal readers (the four of you know who you are) in helping us along in the challenge. Here are the final stats:
